About MHIF Seventh-day Adventists®
2021 – The Beginning
MHIF began in 2021 as an Indonesian-speaking Seventh-day Adventist fellowship in the Denver metropolitan area. The fellowship was established to provide a spiritual home for Indonesian Adventists living in Colorado while welcoming people of all backgrounds who desired to worship Christ.
2023 – From Company to Church
A major milestone occurred in October 2023, when the Rocky Mountain Conference Executive Committee officially voted to organize the fellowship as a church.
On November 4, 2023, MHIF celebrated its first Sabbath as an organized church. During this special service:
- Charter members signed the official church document.
- Leaders from the Rocky Mountain Conference participated in the dedication.
- The sermon was presented by Doug Inglish, Vice President for Administration.
- Mickey Mallory offered the dedication prayer.
- Members and guests from across the United States joined the celebration.
2024–2025 – Growth and Ministry
Following its organization as a church, MHIF experienced continued growth through:
- Weekly Sabbath worship services.
- Midweek prayer meetings.
- Morning prayer ministries.
- Community outreach and evangelism.
- Youth and young adult development.
- Indonesian cultural fellowship while remaining mission-focused as part of the worldwide Seventh-day Adventist Church.
2026 – First Official Pastor
In February 2026, MHIF welcomed Pastor Stanley Luntungan as its first official pastor. The installation service drew more than 100 attendees.
Pastor Luntungan previously served in the Gulf States Conference and Northern New England Conference and also serves as a U.S. military reserve chaplain. Church leaders noted that the congregation had grown rapidly since its formation in 2021 and had developed a strong young adult ministry.
Today
MHIF continues to serve the Indonesian community in Colorado while welcoming people from every background. The church meets in Aurora, Colorado, and is part of the:
- Rocky Mountain Conference
- Mid-America Union Conference
- North American Division
- Worldwide Seventh-day Adventist Church.
